Romania was elected to the Bureau of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors at the UN

 In February 2008, Romania was elected to the Bureau of the Group of Francophone Ambassadors at the UN, as coordinator of the Francophone working group „Democracy, Rule of Law and Human Rights, for a two-year mandate. In this quality, Romania provides the interface between the Francophonie and the UN regarding the themes relevant for the group, aiming also to reflect the francophone expertise in the relevant UN projects and programs.
